Lifestyle Innovations Based on youth's Knowledge and Experience

In the five year LIKE programme (2017-2022), we develop, implement and evaluate an integrated action programme at the level of family, school, neighbourhood, health care and city, based upon a detailed insight into the characteristics of the population at stake. The aim is to tackle the wicked problem of childhood overweight and obesity in 10-14 year old adolescents in Amsterdam, using a systems dynamics and participatory approach. Following the principles of Participatory Action Research (PAR), we work with our population (adolescents and their families) and societal stakeholders as co-creators and co-investigators.
