Improved Prognosis of Vascular cognitive impairment using automatic quantitative imaging biomarker extraction and disease modeling

To optimally use brain imaging data in vascular cognitive impairment (VCI), the ImProVas project (i) develops and validates methods for automatic quantification of microbleeds and lacunar infarcts and (ii) develops and validates prediction methods utilizing these biomarkers. The project extends existing cohorts with novel image-derived biomarkers (HBC: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29017156; TRACE-VCI: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28428166).
